Do not let it turn into a messy divorce! Make sure that you are properly prepared!

When you and your partner decide to separate, it is advisable that you are informed about the manner in which the consequences of the divorce can and/or must be arranged. Divorce can take place in various ways:

1. through mediation whereby both partners arrange the divorce together with a vFAS lawyer and/or divorce mediator;
2. through consultation but each with their own lawyer;
3. through the court (in a defended action), both partners with their own lawyer.

Choose expert assistance: choose a vFAS lawyer and/or divorce mediator. The mediator or lawyer will inform and advise you about the subjects that need to be dealt with in a divorce. You have to consider your future and possibly the future of your children together with him/her.
